THE DEAD ARE STILL FAMILY

Ancestor veneration is critical to our development as spiritual beings. In American culture, we often fail to acknowledge how important it is to maintain a relationship with our dead.

This workshop will explore why honoring our ancestors matters, why these practices have been central across cultures, and how we can begin.

An integral part of ancestral worship is cultivating an ancestral altar. We’ll talk about how to create one, what belongs on it, why we use water, candles, incense, food, drink, photographs and personal objects, and how to keep the altar alive, tended and active.

The workshop will be held at Roots and Stars Botanika a beautiful metaphysical supply store located 10 minutes outside of Joshua Tree.
